Call for Application: AU Continental Capacity-Building Programme in International Law and African Law
The African Union Commission invites applications to the International Law Seminar for African Universities scheduled to take place from 7 to 18 August 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The International Law Seminar for African Universities is organized by the Office of the Legal Counsel and African Union Leadership Academy.
This year’s Seminar will cover the following subjects: International Law, African Union Law and Institutions, Democracy and Good Governance, International Trade Law (including the Continental Free Trade Area), Environmental Law, the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law (including the African Charteron Maritime Security and Safety and Development in Africa), International and African Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law.
Thirty (30) successful applicants will attend the Seminar. Fellowship participants will receive economy airfare, accommodation and a stipend. Self-funded participants bear costs associated with their participation (travel, accommodation and living expenses). Training materials will be provided to all participants.
