The African Union saves 600,000 USD thanks to its new computer system
The implementation of a new computerized conference management system has enabled the African Union to save over 600,000 USD in six months. This progress follows efforts to find solutions to modernize and make the institution more efficient.
Thanks to the 1,000 Information and Communications Technology devices and the online documentation system set up to facilitate the flow of information during conferences, paper consumption has become nil during this type of event. A large part of the costs of consumables has therefore been eliminated for the organization of various meetings within the African Union.
The impact of this initiative is not only measured in terms of cost. Access to documentation has also been facilitated. Similarly, the African Union is taking a more ecological behavior.
